Abstract

Introduction A modern school, implementing the idea of inclusive education faces the challenge of “offering high-quality education for all students” (UNESCO 2003). Physical education should also meet the criteria of inclusive education for students with and without special educational needs, as well as gifted. The evaluation of inclusive activities should take into account the students' point of view. The aim of the study was to design a questionnaire to assess the student's perception of inclusion in a PE.

Methodology The DELPHI method was used in the study. Based on the Perception of Inclusion Questionnaire, the authors designed a questionnaire to assess the student’s perception of inclusion in a PE (PIQ-PE) consisted of 12 question. Specialists in the field of adapted physical activity were asked to assess (on a scale of 0-4 points) the accuracy of questions. For a result below 4, specialists were asked to explaining how suggest the question be rewritten.

Results PIQ-PE was rated by 10 specialist. In the first round, consensus was obtained for 8 questions. 4 question rewritten (median score < 3.5 or low scoring (0 or 1) for at least specialist) and forwarded for re-evaluation to round 2 in which 8 experts responded and a consensus was reached.

Conclusions The study allowed for the design of a questionnaire to assess the perception of inclusion in physical education, which will be validated.
