Abstract

The University’s Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) facilitates the ethical review of all postgraduate research degree and staff research activities at the University. In exceptional circumstances, a taught postgraduate research study beyond a minimal risk level, may be referred to the HREC for full ethical review using the appropriate research ethics application. The HREC may add to, amend, or delete from its terms of reference. All minor changes are subject to approval by the Research & Innovation Committee, with major changes being subject to approval by the Research & Innovation Committee, followed by Academic Council.
